Wendy Walker, LPN, CPT, LE CEO & Senior Educator
I started my love affair with the beauty industry in the early 80’s. After a couple of years as a professional model. I looked for a career that would sustain me. At that time in North Carolina working for a cosmetic company was the only option. I became a make-up artist and joined Lancôme. I moved into marketing and advertising for a 20-year career. After one-to-many downsizing, I went back to my roots. I obtained my esthetic license and began practice. It was not long before the results I was achieving through aesthetic skincare just was not enough. Being of a certain age myself I wanted to do more for myself and my clients. I enrolled in the nursing program at GTCC.
After graduation, I set out to train with the best. I attained my advanced injector certification through several programs as well as being mentored by Dr David Best MD. I have PRP certification from the American Cosmetic Cellular Medicine Association. I have been a senior trainer and sales consultant with Everything Esthetic, Refine USA aka Rejuvapen, PureSpin PRP, PBF, PRF and The Perfect Derma Peel since December 2016. I joined Les Encres Threads in October 2021 and just recently joined Artemis to enter the world of lasers with the T Shape 2 skin-tightening device.
Sharing all I have learned is a passion. I can’t even call it work. I am constantly training with other professionals myself to bring you the latest techniques. When I am not working, I live a relaxed lifestyle on my small horse farm in NC.
Gretchen Mallekoote, CPT, LE Administrator & Educator
After over 15 years working in optometry patient care, I was ready for something new. I went back to school to obtain my esthetic license and began working in spa and salon settings providing facials, chemical peels, waxing and brow and lash treatments.
After my first year, I joined Wendy as an administrative assistant and esthetician in the spa. Wendy took me under her wing and trained me in Microneedling, PRP and advanced chemical peels. From there, I started assisting her in trainings and eventually becoming the trainer for some of her classes.
I quickly realized that I enjoy the training and teaching of other piers and that my administrative skills are always prominent in whatever I do. So those roles are my main focus now. My wish is to provide both our clients and our piers the best experience possible when working with us.

I have quite the passion for esthetics. Growing up around this field has made me aware of the extensive effort and dedication it takes to cultivate great relationships while achieving great results for my clients.
Graduating in 2018 from Leon’s beauty school with honors. I then went on to actively and passionately continue my education with advanced classes year after year including certifications in micro-needling, advanced peels, derma-planning and PRP, which helped me build and maintain the knowledge it takes to meet all of your aesthetic needs.
